The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher – Primary, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds through engaging and innovative science education. You will deliver high-quality lessons to Year 1 to Year 6 students, fostering curiosity, scientific inquiry, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, progressive science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Conduct practical investigations and experiments to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
• Maintain and manage specialist resources and laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with class teachers to develop cross-curricular links and support whole-school initiatives.
• Monitor and support science standards across the school.
• Work closely with parents to ensure student success and progress.
• Participate in professional development and school improvement cycles.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the UK or a British Curriculum school.
• Strong subject knowledge in primary Science.
• Excellent understanding of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.
• Experience with data systems, student tracking, intervention, and reporting.

Preferred

• Experience with early literacy development or English language acquisition.
• Background in teaching in a multi-cultural environment.
• Experience with cross-curricular planning and collaboration.
