The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Creative Design Teacher to join our growing team. This role involves delivering engaging and progressive Art and Design & Technology lessons to students in Years 1 to 6. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a creative curriculum that inspires and empowers young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design & Technology lessons across primary year groups.
• Develop engaging and progressive schemes of work that build pupils' creative skills and technical knowledge.
• Lead and develop the Art and D&T curriculum, including cooking and nutrition.
• Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Monitor and support standards across the school in Art and D&T.
• Collaborate with class teachers to support cross-curricular links and enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain specialist resources and equipment for Art and D&T lessons.
• Support whole school initiatives and contribute to the school improvement cycle.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design & Technology
• Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the UK or in a British Curriculum school
• Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices
• Experience using data systems for student tracking, intervention, and reporting

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Art and D&T to primary students
• Experience in early literacy development or English language acquisition
• Ability to establish strong partnerships with parents
• Experience in curriculum development and leadership
