The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Secondary Geography Teacher to join our growing team. This role offers the chance to shape young minds, deliver high-quality education, and contribute to a school recognized for its outstanding achievements and positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography across the age and ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons, set and mark assessments, and track student progress.
- Use data to inform teaching and provide timely interventions for student support.
- Prepare students for public examinations and maintain accurate records of their progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support teachers to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Contribute to school events, including Parents’ Evenings and Open Evenings.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best practices in Geography education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in Geography or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Geography in British Curriculum schools, including IGCSE and A-Level.
- Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and support student progress.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with curriculum innovations.
Preferred
- Experience teaching BTEC Travel & Tourism.
- Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational standards.
- Ability to support and mentor beginning teachers.
- Experience in curriculum innovation or leadership within a department.
