The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal growth of students across multiple year levels. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme, while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, IGCSE, and IBDP.
- Set clear learning objectives and manage classroom dynamics to ensure student engagement and progress.
- Identify and support students with special educational needs and those who are gifted and talented.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and the wider community to support student learning.
- Continuously improve your professional practice through reflection, training, and staying updated with pedagogical developments.
- Manage and utilize a variety of teaching resources, including ICT, to enhance student learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree and a teaching certificate or license with strong subject knowledge in Physics.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across different year levels.
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
- Passion for teaching and a strong sense of responsibility towards student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme.
- Familiarity with English as an Additional Language (EAL) teaching strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
