The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal growth of students across multiple year levels. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme, while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, IGCSE, and IBDP.
  • Set clear learning objectives and manage classroom dynamics to ensure student engagement and progress.
  • Identify and support students with special educational needs and those who are gifted and talented.
  • Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and the wider community to support student learning.
  • Continuously improve your professional practice through reflection, training, and staying updated with pedagogical developments.
  • Manage and utilize a variety of teaching resources, including ICT, to enhance student learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree and a teaching certificate or license with strong subject knowledge in Physics.
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across different year levels.
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Passion for teaching and a strong sense of responsibility towards student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme.
  • Familiarity with English as an Additional Language (EAL) teaching strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
