The Opportunity:
As a STEAM Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a dynamic and engaging learning environment that promotes inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking. This position is ideal for someone passionate about integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics into the curriculum and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement interdisciplinary STEAM programs aligned with IPC, IMYC, IGCSE, or A-Levels standards.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based lessons that meet student needs.
- Manage and maintain student portfolios, documenting progress and learning outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and colleagues using professional and effective methods.
- Ensure the safe and efficient management of classroom resources and student wellbeing.
- Support the delivery of extracurricular activities, including ECA and Boarding lessons.
- Promote student reflection and self-assessment through a variety of assessment strategies.
- Stay current with professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong understanding of STEAM education and curriculum standards.
- Experience in teaching and learning across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and manage engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Proficiency in using technology as a tool for teaching and learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience with international curricula such as IPC, IMYC, IGCSE, or A-Levels.
- Background in teaching English literacy, including reading, writing, and phonics.
- Experience in managing and directing teaching assistants.
- Familiarity with ISAMS electronic systems and portfolio documentation.
