The Opportunity:

As a SENCO, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment by supporting both teachers and students with special educational needs. This position is ideal for someone passionate about SEND coordination and committed to making a meaningful impact in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the line management of the Learning Support team, including teaching assistants and specialist teachers.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of students with SEND, including Individual Education Plans (ILPs) and provision maps.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEND and the impact of interventions and support programmes.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Deliver appropriate interventions and support students in accessing the curriculum at all levels.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher status
• National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience
• Experience in SEND coordination
• Strong knowledge of UK SEND Code of Practice and UAE Inclusive Legalisation

Preferred

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• International school experience
• Experience with various SEND assessment tools
• Knowledge of UAE inclusive education framework
