As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education tailored to the needs of students with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects to support student progression from Functional Skills to GCSE level
- Collaborate with the team to deliver engaging lessons and support positive behaviour
- Follow whole school teaching and learning systems and participate in a comprehensive induction
- Support the development and expansion of the curriculum, including data collection and communication with stakeholders
- Create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that encourage student participation and growth
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A committed and passionate approach to working with students with SEND
- At least two years’ experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning Support (QTLS)
Preferred
- Experience with restorative practices or therapeutic education
- Familiarity with sensory-based learning techniques
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
