The Opportunity:

As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal growth of students in a forward-thinking school environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering international mindedness, and supporting students of all abilities to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based Spanish lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement rich, engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Support the development of international mindedness across the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for students.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and students to support academic and personal growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding learning outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development and community events to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in a Spanish Language discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject specific teaching.
  • A track record of outstanding student results.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment and integrity.
  • Inter-cultural awareness and well-developed communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and its use in the classroom.
  • Passion for stretching students to achieve their potential and beyond.
