The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Sociology and Psychology Teacher to join its growing team. This role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality, inclusive education and supporting student achievement. The successful candidate will contribute to a curriculum that blends the National Curriculum for England with unique, forward-thinking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology and Psychology, aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Support student progress through regular assessments, feedback, and personalized learning strategies.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, including the AI curriculum developed with MIT and other innovative projects.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and community engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or equivalent degree with a strong background in Sociology and Psychology.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
  • Proven ability to teach Sociology and Psychology at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching additional subjects.
  • Familiarity with AI and technology-based learning initiatives.
  • Experience working in international or British International Schools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
