The Opportunity:
As a Sports Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's state-of-the-art Sports Centre. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports and committed to fostering a healthy, active lifestyle among students. The position involves working full-time throughout the year, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sports Centre.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff during all sports activities.
- Maintain and monitor the condition of sports equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with teachers and staff to support the school's sports programme.
- Supervise and assist students during sports sessions and events.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all users of the Sports Centre.
- Provide regular reports on the usage and condition of the Sports Centre.
- Support the delivery of extracurricular sports activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a sports or educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a sports environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Familiarity with a range of sports and physical activities.
- Previous experience in a school or educational institution.
- First aid and sports first aid qualifications.
