The Opportunity:
As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, personalised learning to students with autism and complex needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual and group needs, while contributing to the school’s development and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned to informal, semi-formal and formal pathways
- Teach individuals and small groups, adapting learning to meet diverse and complex needs
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress and achievement
- Contribute to the School Development Plan and continuous improvement
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and other key documents
- Take responsibility for subject areas and contribute to curriculum development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in teaching students with autism or complex needs
- Ability to build strong relationships and inspire pupils to succeed
- Strong organisational and reflective skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration
- Full UK driving licence
Preferred
- Experience in EYFS or primary education
- Subject specialist knowledge in English, Maths, Science, PE, PSHE, Careers and Employability Skills, Art and Design, Music, Food Technology, Life Skills, Independent Living and Preparation for Adulthood, Horticulture, or Animal Care
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within education
