Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and innovative Business and Economics lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Economics and Business department through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Design and implement assessment strategies that reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence and personal development.
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities that enhance their understanding of Business and Economics.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Business and Economics fields and incorporate these into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
  • Proven experience in teaching Business or Economics at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering creative and engaging Business and Economics lessons.
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities related to Business and Economics.
  • Experience with a range of assessment methods and strategies.
