The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and creative Teacher of English to join a dynamic and supportive faculty. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development across all Key Stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across all Key Stages and abilities, tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, innovative, and challenging lesson plans that align with the school’s academic standards.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the Faculty.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school’s vibrant and inclusive community.
  • Stay up to date with educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Work closely with parents and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in English or a closely related subject.
  • Confidence and experience in teaching English across all Key Stages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.

Preferred

  • Experience in a specialist music school or similar educational environment.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and practices.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the school’s music and co-curricular programmes.
