The Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Teacher of English to join a dynamic and supportive faculty. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development across all Key Stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English across all Key Stages and abilities, tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Develop and deliver engaging, innovative, and challenging lesson plans that align with the school’s academic standards.
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the Faculty.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school’s vibrant and inclusive community.
- Stay up to date with educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.
- Work closely with parents and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in English or a closely related subject.
- Confidence and experience in teaching English across all Key Stages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening and obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
Preferred
- Experience in a specialist music school or similar educational environment.
- Familiarity with international education standards and practices.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the school’s music and co-curricular programmes.
