The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education across Primary and Secondary levels, following the IB framework and philosophy.
  • Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth and achievement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression.
  • Stay up to date with developments in music education and incorporate new teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting international-mindedness, global citizenship, and a love of learning.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or equivalent degree with exceptional subject knowledge in Music.
  • At least 3 years’ experience teaching Music at Primary and Secondary levels.
  • Proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching within an IB World School environment.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
