The Opportunity:

A Teacher of Music is needed to inspire and educate students across the MYP and DP years. This role offers the chance to contribute to a school that values innovation, excellence, and a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Music to students across the MYP and DP years, with some lessons in the PYP years.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the IB curriculum and promote student engagement.
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential in Music.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent academic standards and support student learning.
• Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school through music-related activities.
• Support students in their pastoral care roles, such as form tutor or co-tutor.
• Lead and mentor staff where appropriate to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Stay up to date with developments in Music education and integrate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Music education.
• Strong knowledge of the IB Middle Years and/or IB Diploma curricula.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Commitment to pastoral care and student well-being.
• Experience in leading and mentoring staff.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school setting with a strong emphasis on extra-curricular activities.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Familiarity with digital tools and resources for teaching Music.
