The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Teaching Assistant and Positive Play Worker, supporting students across all key stages and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student behaviour, development, and overall classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning and behaviour, working closely with class teachers and the SENCo
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of positive play strategies and behaviour management techniques
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement school values and support student wellbeing
  • Participate in professional development and induction programmes to enhance teaching and support practices
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support the organisation and management of school events and activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or support role, preferably within a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of students and colleagues
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Experience in supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs

Preferred

  • Experience in working with children with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and positive behaviour support strategies
  • Experience in curriculum development or classroom support roles
  • Familiarity with the use of educational technology and resources
