The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant and Playworker to support students across all key stages. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support class teachers and the SENCo in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Assist children with their academic work and provide targeted support where needed
  • Promote positive behaviour and establish strong, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Act as a role model and respond to individual needs in a caring and professional manner
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in the delivery of a skills-based curriculum that promotes academic excellence and personal growth
  • Support the implementation of the school’s values across all aspects of student interaction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the well-being and development of all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to supporting children’s learning and behaviour
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different teaching and learning environments
  • Understanding of inclusive education practices

Preferred

  • Experience in a SEN or special needs setting
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Playworker
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery
