Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex needs to achieve their learning and personal goals
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, practical lessons that promote active learning
  • Provide emotional and physical support to help pupils feel safe and valued
  • Encourage independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions
  • Support with outdoor learning, enrichment opportunities, and off-site trips
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to grow your skills
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A caring, patient, and adaptable individual who thrives in a team environment
  • Experience supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
  • Experience working with children with complex needs
  • Ability to contribute to positive learning or behavioural outcomes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering practical and engaging lessons
  • Experience with outdoor learning and enrichment activities
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with autism or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) support
