The Opportunity:

As a Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes across the organization. You will support the Financial Operations Manager in processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential in keeping financial operations efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and pay supplier invoices accurately and on time
  • Resolve supplier invoice queries and discrepancies promptly
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end financial processes
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and manage related documentation
  • Collaborate with other departments and schools to resolve payment and invoice issues
  • Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with internal procedures
  • Contribute to the overall financial operations of the organization when required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an accounts payable role or similar financial position
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Confidence and outgoing personality with good telephone manner
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or equivalent

Preferred

  • Experience with financial software and accounting systems
  • Knowledge of financial processes and procedures
  • Experience working within an educational or care environment
  • Understanding of accruals and prepayments processes
  • Previous experience in a finance administrator or similar role
