The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Maths Teacher to join our high-achieving department on a full-time temporary basis until 31 May 2027. This role offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant learning community and to support students at Key Stage 3 through A Level. The ideal candidate will be a strong A Level teacher with experience in both Pure and Applied Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and A Level, including Further Mathematics.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and innovative teaching strategies.
- Support the extra-curricular provision within the Mathematics Department.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and share resources and ideas.
- Provide pastoral support to students as part of a committed team.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Pure and Applied Mathematics.
- Ability to work as part of a team and share resources effectively.
- Commitment to student success and high academic standards.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Further Mathematics A Level.
- Experience with mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
- Experience in developing and implementing new teaching strategies.
