The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Maths Teacher to join our high-achieving department on a full-time temporary basis until 31 May 2027. This role offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant learning community and to support students at Key Stage 3 through A Level. The ideal candidate will be a strong A Level teacher with experience in both Pure and Applied Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and A Level, including Further Mathematics.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support the extra-curricular provision within the Mathematics Department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and share resources and ideas.
  • Provide pastoral support to students as part of a committed team.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Pure and Applied Mathematics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and share resources effectively.
  • Commitment to student success and high academic standards.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Further Mathematics A Level.
  • Experience with mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing new teaching strategies.
