Summary:
Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Support learners with additional needs in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with a range of additional needs, both individually and in groups. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learners with a range of additional needs, both individually and in groups.
- Work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Help implement support plans and monitor learner progress.
- Prepare and adapt learning resources, including the use of ICT where appropriate.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Contribute to assessments, reports, and record keeping.
- Support learners during exams, trips, residentials, and off-site activities.
- Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and other professionals where required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
- Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting pupil wellbeing.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a trauma-informed or therapeutic setting.
- Knowledge of education support strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- Experience with the use of ICT in educational settings.
- Previous experience in a school or specialist provision setting.
