The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant - Part Time to join its Learning Support team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with additional learning needs in a classroom setting.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Assist in managing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
- Provide individualised support to students, promoting engagement and participation.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive and effective teaching strategies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of students' diverse needs.
- Strong organisational skills to manage classroom resources effectively.
- Commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
Preferred
- Previous experience in education or working with young people.
- Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from teaching staff.
