Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional learning needs in a classroom setting.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Assist in managing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
  • Provide individualised support to students, promoting engagement and participation.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive and effective teaching strategies.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of students' diverse needs.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage classroom resources effectively.
  • Commitment to supporting children's learning and development.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in education or working with young people.
  • Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from teaching staff.
