The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and educational quality of the school. You will lead the development of curriculum, assessment, and student achievement, ensuring the school maintains the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play an active role in school strategic planning and self-review.
• Lead and manage teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment, tracking, and reporting.
• Develop the whole-school curriculum in collaboration with senior and middle leaders.
• Lead target-setting and assessment data analysis alongside the senior leadership team.
• Monitor and evaluate standards of attainment, progress, achievement, and behaviour.
• Ensure compliance with KHDA/DSIB UAE Inspection Framework and UAE National Agenda.
• Promote the school’s vision, core values, and policies across the institution.
• Support staff development through continuous professional development and training.
• Manage and oversee the whole-school assessment framework and calendar.
• Liaise with external agencies and local communities to enhance educational provision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience, including substantial experience in a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) role.
• Proven record of successful operational and academic leadership in a British curriculum school.
• Demonstrated experience managing large teams and driving whole-school improvement.

Preferred

• Master’s degree or National Professional Qualification in Education (NPQ).
• Strong understanding of British curriculum frameworks and inspection standards (KHDA, BSO).
• Experience in leading strategic professional development programmes.
• Commitment to innovation, wellbeing, and inclusive practice.
