The Opportunity:

As the Director of Sports, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management of the school’s Physical Education and sports programme. This role is ideal for someone passionate about promoting student participation, performance, and wellbeing through sport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a whole school sports strategy aligned with the school’s vision and values.
• Set measurable targets for student participation, competitive performance, and talent development.
• Promote the role of sport in enhancing student health, wellbeing, and leadership skills.
• Lead and coordinate all co-curricular sports activities, teams, and clubs.
• Manage participation in inter-school competitions and events.
• Lead, manage, and develop the PE and coaching team.
• Co-manage after school enrichment programmes and promote inclusive sports opportunities.
• Oversee the maintenance and development of sports facilities and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Management or related field (Masters preferred)
• Minimum 5 Years’ experience in school sports leadership.
• Strong English National Curriculum knowledge with proven GCSE and A Level/BTEC results
• Proven track record in developing sports programmes and managing staff.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding and health & safety standards.

Preferred

• Experience in UAE as Head of PE or sports leadership.
• Knowledge of sports science, coaching methodologies, PE curriculum, competition structures, and facility management.
