The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal, you will support the Head of School in delivering outstanding educational outcomes and leading the day-to-day operations of the academy. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and staff, while contributing to the strategic vision of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of School in delivering high standards of teaching, learning, and student behaviour.
  • Lead the implementation of a holistic and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
  • Manage whole-school priorities and improvement plans in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding and data protection.
  • Promote staff wellbeing and manage workload effectively to maintain a healthy working environment.
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to support continuous improvement and high standards.
  • Work closely with subject and faculty leaders to ensure consistency and quality across the curriculum.
  • Support the development of the Academy Improvement Plan and Evaluation Summary.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, parents, and the wider community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably within a senior leadership team.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Experience in curriculum development and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of all students and staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Knowledge of educational research and best practice in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Leadership in areas such as pastoral care, student support, or special educational needs.
