Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative art curriculum aligned with the school’s educational standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of student life.
- Mentor and inspire students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
- Participate actively in school events, exhibitions, and other artistic initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s values of courage, honour, humility, and fellowship in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
- Support students through personalized guidance and pastoral care.
- Stay current with developments in the field of art education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Appropriate degree with UK PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in leading independent schools.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels.
- A clean criminal record check, including International Child Protection Check (ICPC) or equivalent.
- Proven commitment to safeguarding and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
