The Opportunity:
As an Inclusion Teacher, you will support Students of Determination (SEND) and Gifted students, ensuring they thrive within a British curriculum framework. This role is central to fostering an inclusive, research-driven learning environment that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Provide in-class or pull-out interventions tailored to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and leadership teams to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Liaise with parents and external experts to ensure holistic student support.
- Support staff training and work with external specialists to enhance inclusion practices.
- Stay up to date with best practices in inclusion and current policies in the UAE, UK, and globally.
- Utilize assistive technologies and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the school’s culture through active involvement in extra-curricular and community-based events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- UK approved Inclusion qualification such as a Master’s in Special Education Needs (SEN) or Inclusion and a relevant PGCE.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Inclusion leader in an international setting within a high-performing school.
- Experience working in a through-school environment (age 3-18) is preferred.
- A track record of improving Inclusion provision in a school setting.
- Up to date knowledge of best practice in Inclusion and current policy in UAE, UK and globally.
- Strong knowledge of KHDA Inclusion guidelines and UAE education policies.
- Experience in managing IEPs, interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support for diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, leadership teams, and external partners.
Preferred
- Familiarity with assistive technologies, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Commitment to research-driven, future-focused, and student-centered education.
