The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Art & Design Teacher to join a dynamic and high-achieving institution. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a thriving enriched curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Art & Design education at both KS4 and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative Art & Design lessons to students at KS4 and KS5.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills.
• Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and preparing for GCSE and A level examinations.
• Contribute to the school’s enriched curriculum through extracurricular activities and charitable initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
• Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, promoting their personal and academic growth.
• Participate in staff development, professional learning, and school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Art & Design.
• At least 3 years’ experience of teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven experience teaching Art & Design at KS4 and KS5.
• A track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset that believes all students can achieve top performance with the right support.

Preferred

• Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
• Experience with international students and diverse learning environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with digital tools and resources for teaching Art & Design.
