Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons that foster creativity and self-expression.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating curriculum that encourages student engagement and artistic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the federation to enhance teaching practices and curriculum design.
  • Support and lead extra-curricular activities that promote creative development and student participation.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring their overall wellbeing and success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Contribute to the wider Design & Technology faculty where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Art or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Art at a secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across a federation.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering extra-curricular Art activities.
  • Familiarity with Design & Technology subjects.
  • Demonstrated passion for inspiring creativity in students.
  • Experience in a federation or multi-academy trust setting.
