Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons that foster creativity and self-expression.
- Develop and implement a stimulating curriculum that encourages student engagement and artistic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the federation to enhance teaching practices and curriculum design.
- Support and lead extra-curricular activities that promote creative development and student participation.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring their overall wellbeing and success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
- Contribute to the wider Design & Technology faculty where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Art or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Art at a secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across a federation.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering extra-curricular Art activities.
- Familiarity with Design & Technology subjects.
- Demonstrated passion for inspiring creativity in students.
- Experience in a federation or multi-academy trust setting.
