Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art across middle and high school, incorporating traditional, digital, and mixed-media practices
  • Deliver engaging digital art lessons using platforms such as SketchSchool, Procreate, or equivalent
  • Integrate CAD and 3D design tools (e.g. Tinkercad, SketchUp) into Art and Design projects
  • Support Robotics and STEM activities (e.g. LEGO Mindstorms, SPIKE Prime) where appropriate
  • Embed design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving into project-based learning experiences
  • Collaborate with the STEAM and Technology departments to deliver interdisciplinary projects
  • Support school-wide STEAM initiatives, competitions, exhibitions, and innovation events
  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and 21st-century skill development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Digital Media, or a related field
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (Art and/or Digital Design preferred)
  • Experience delivering digital art and creative technology-based lessons
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as Tinkercad or SketchUp
  • Understanding of project-based learning approaches
  • Experience with UK or US curriculum frameworks
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance

Preferred

  • Experience with LEGO Mindstorms, SPIKE Prime, or robotics platforms
  • Ability to contribute to Robotics, CAD, or STEM electives/clubs
  • Background in graphic design, animation, architecture, or product design
  • Experience integrating technology into Art or Design curriculum
  • Familiarity with creative platforms such as SketchSchool or similar
  • Experience contributing to STEAM leadership, innovation, or curriculum development
  • Passion for interdisciplinary teaching and real-world application of learning
