The Opportunity:

As a STEAM Teacher - Secondary, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging, interdisciplinary lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging interdisciplinary STEAM lessons across middle and high school
  • Design and facilitate project-based learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics
  • Teach and support areas such as coding, robotics, CAD, and digital design
  • Embed design thinking, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving into all units
  • Support students in developing real-world solutions to authentic challenges
  • Collaborate with Science, Art, Technology, and Mathematics departments to deliver cohesive STEAM projects
  • Contribute to STEM/STEAM clubs, competitions, and enrichment programmes
  • Support whole-school innovation initiatives, exhibitions, and showcase events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEAM subject
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in a relevant subject area
  • Experience delivering project-based or inquiry-based learning
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in STEAM education
  • Experience with UK or US curriculum frameworks

Preferred

  • Ability to teach across multiple disciplines within STEAM
  • Experience with robotics platforms
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D design tools
  • Experience with coding platforms
  • Background in engineering, product design, or applied sciences
  • Experience leading or contributing to STEAM initiatives, competitions, or innovation programmes
