The Opportunity:

A Secondary Robotics and Design Teacher is needed to inspire high school students through hands-on learning in robotics and digital design. This role supports a unique STEAM vision by bridging engineering and art, while contributing to a culture of innovation and 21st-century skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Robotics to high school students using platforms such as Tetrix, LEGO EV3, and SPIKE Prime.
  • Collaborate with the Art Department to support digital art units using tools like Tinkercad and SketchUp.
  • Integrate coding, design thinking, and digital fabrication into project-based learning experiences.
  • Support school-wide STEM and STEAM initiatives, events, and competitions.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, curiosity, and 21st-century skill development.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and international standards.
  • Mentor and support students in developing technical and creative skills through real-world applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and teaching methodologies in robotics and design.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as Engineering or Technology.
  • PGCE or equivalent qualification in Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching robotics and/or engineering at the middle or high school level.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as Tinkercad and SketchUp.
  • Experience with the American curriculum and project-based learning.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Preferred

  • Experience integrating technology into Art or Design curriculum.
  • Familiarity with SketchSchool or other creative tech platforms.
  • Background in architecture, product design, or industrial design.
  • Prior involvement in STEM/STEAM leadership or innovation initiatives.
  • Passion for interdisciplinary teaching and real-world applications of learning.
