The Opportunity:
As the Assistant Head of Netball, you will lead and develop the netball programme for teams from Under 14 to Under 19, supporting individual player progress. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a school’s ambition to become a centre of excellence in netball.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the netball programme across all age groups.
- Deliver high-quality coaching to student athletes, using innovative techniques.
- Support individual player development and progression.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall sports experience.
- Contribute to the development of summer sports programmes where applicable.
- Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and inclusivity within the netball programme.
- Work closely with the Head of Netball to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and goals.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider school community to build strong relationships.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven track record of coaching or playing netball at an elite level.
- In-depth knowledge of the game and innovative coaching techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to the development of student athletes.
Preferred
- Experience coaching a summer sport to a good standard.
- Experience in a boarding school or similar educational environment.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, such as teaching if desired.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in sports coaching.
