We are seeking a Minibus Driver to ensure the safe and efficient transport of pupils and staff across the school site. This role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of the school’s transport services and ensuring the well-being of all passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and timely transportation of pupils and staff according to established rotas.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure the minibus is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, passenger numbers, and any incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and other transport personnel.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to all passengers.
  • Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Valid UK driving licence with a clean record.
  • Experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child passenger safety and transport protocols.
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance and basic repair skills.
