The Opportunity:
As a Scholarships and Bursaries Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the admissions process and managing the administration of scholarships and bursaries. This position also involves providing administrative support to the Group Finance Director and assisting with charity governance. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration of scholarships and bursaries, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support the Stowe School Foundation by preparing and managing trustee meetings and charity governance documentation.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Group Finance Director, including scheduling, correspondence, and coordination with the finance team.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of financial and admissions processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scholarship and bursary applications and allocations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to financial and admissions activities.
- Support the wider finance team with administrative tasks as required.
- Ensure all work is completed with a high level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative and IT skills with experience using relevant software and systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and discretion.
- Experience in a similar administrative or finance support role, preferably within education.
Preferred
- Experience in scholarship or bursary administration.
- Knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Experience with charity governance or trustee meetings.
- Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working in an independent school or educational institution.
