The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Assistant Headteacher - Director of Sixth Form to lead and develop Key Stage 5 provision at a school experiencing significant growth and success. This role offers the chance to shape the future of sixth form education and make a meaningful impact on student achievement and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic development of Key Stage 5 provision.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to enhance the overall academic performance of the school.
  • Support and develop teaching and learning across the sixth form.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages high achievement and personal growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sixth form programmes and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes and progression.
  • Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures in line with school and Trust values.
  • Represent the school at relevant meetings and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role.
  • Strong track record in teaching and leading at Key Stage 5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and leadership experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Knowledge of sixth form admissions and progression pathways.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Demonstrable success in raising student achievement and attainment.
