The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Headteacher focused on Key Stage 3 Behaviour, Inclusion and Standards, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s approach to student behaviour, inclusion, and academic standards. This is a leadership position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the school’s behaviour policy, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across Key Stage 3.
- Oversee the inclusion strategy, supporting students with diverse needs and ensuring equitable access to learning.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive improvements in academic standards and student achievement.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives related to behaviour, inclusion, and standards.
- Provide professional guidance and support to teaching staff on best practices in behaviour management and inclusion.
- Collaborate with other leaders to ensure alignment with the school’s strategic goals and values.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills in behaviour management and inclusion.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, ideally in behaviour management and inclusion.
- Strong knowledge of Key Stage 3 curriculum and pedagogy.
- Experience in leading and managing teams within a school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing behaviour policies.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
- Leadership experience in improving academic standards and student outcomes.
- Experience in working with external agencies and parents to support student inclusion and behaviour.
