The Opportunity:

As an HR Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative support to the in-school HR function, playing a key role in ensuring smooth operations and staff satisfaction. This is a varied and impactful role for someone who enjoys building relationships and contributing to a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the in-school HR function by providing administrative assistance and guidance to staff.
  • Act as the first point of contact for school-based staff, offering support and advice as required.
  • Assist with the management of HR processes, including payroll, leave, and staff records.
  • Coordinate with the central HR team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Help maintain a positive and professional working environment for all staff members.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and staff development opportunities.
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably within education.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and office applications.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including term time and INSET days.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in supporting staff development and well-being initiatives.
  • Previous experience in recruitment or onboarding processes.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • 30 hours per week, on a term time basis, plus INSET and 2 weeks holiday.
