As an Assistant Headteacher: Teaching & Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education across a dynamic and growing federation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop teaching and learning strategies across the school and federation.
  • Support and mentor curriculum team leaders to enhance classroom practice and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school’s educational vision and improvement plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to ensure consistent standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development for staff.
  • Work closely with the Deputy Head of School to align initiatives with the school’s strategic goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers all students and staff.
  • Ensure that the school’s values and ethos are embedded in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in teaching and learning within a school setting.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with a track record of driving improvement.
  • Commitment to equality, humility, and community values.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar federation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead teams effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading professional development and coaching initiatives.
  • Background in curriculum design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement frameworks.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other specialist areas.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
