Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Biology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum for England.
• Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and engagement.
• Contribute to the enriched curriculum programme through extracurricular activities, initiatives, and charitable endeavours.
• Support the development of students’ critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the overall learning experience and student outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed. or equivalent degree with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, along with exceptional subject knowledge in Biology.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching Biology within the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• Strong commitment to student development and academic excellence.
• Ability to contribute to a rich and diverse curriculum programme.

Preferred

• Experience in delivering Science subjects at both GCSE and A level.
• Experience working in an international school environment.
• Experience with teaching English as a second language.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
