The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Psychology with Sociology to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and supporting student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Psychology and Sociology at both KS4 and KS5.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Contribute to the enriched curriculum, including extracurricular activities and charitable initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience teaching Psychology with Sociology at KS4 and KS5.
  • A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
  • A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance.

Preferred

  • Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with global citizenship and cultural awareness initiatives.
