The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Part Time LAMDA Specialist Teacher to join its Performing Arts and Drama Department. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality LAMDA lessons, support students in exam preparation, and contribute to the development of a vibrant Performing Arts programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality LAMDA lessons, workshops, and coaching sessions across year groups as required.
  • Prepare students for LAMDA examinations, ensuring they are confident, well-rehearsed, and supported.
  • Manage all aspects of LAMDA exam logistics, including entries, timetabling, examiner liaison, and administration.
  • Analyse examination outcomes and use data to inform future planning and improvement.
  • Support students in developing confidence, communication skills, creativity, and performance technique through LAMDA pathways.
  • Liaise closely with Performing Arts staff to ensure all practical, technical, and logistical requirements are met during LAMDA lessons, rehearsals, and examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong knowledge of LAMDA syllabus, examination structure, and assessment criteria.
  • Proven experience preparing students for successful LAMDA examinations.
  • Confidence leading rehearsals, mock exams, staff and performances.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to support exams and events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work across both school sites.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, professional integrity, and the school’s values.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.

Preferred

  • LAMDA accreditation or examiner experience.
  • Experience leading or coordinating a LAMDA or Performing Arts programme.
  • Professional performance or arts education background.
  • Experience delivering enrichment, ECAs, showcases, or staff training.
  • Driving licence.
