The Opportunity:

As a Boarding Assistant, you will support the wellbeing and daily routines of boarders, while contributing to language development in the primary school. This is an ideal role for a motivated young adult seeking a meaningful and rewarding year abroad in an international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the smooth running of daily routines, including wake-up, mealtimes, study hours, and bedtime.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for boarders.
• Assist with weekend activities, trips, and events that enhance the boarding experience.
• Provide practical help, supervision, and pastoral support to students.
• Support students in developing English proficiency through small-group and in-class assistance.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum and make strong progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people and contributing positively to their boarding experience.
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school, camp, or youth setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a warm, approachable manner.
• Flexibility, patience, and initiative in both boarding and classroom settings.
• A willingness to get involved in the wider life of the school, from activities to house events.

Preferred

• An interest in language development and helping children gain confidence in English and basic Spanish.
• A sense of adventure and openness to living in a new country and culture.
