The Opportunity:

A Primary Teacher with Subject Leadership Responsibility is needed to deliver high-quality education aligned with the English National Curriculum and lead a subject area across the Primary phase. This role offers the chance to shape curriculum development and make a meaningful impact on student learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the English National Curriculum
  • Lead and develop a subject area across the Primary phase
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and support student progress
  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to whole-school and Primary strategic development initiatives
  • Support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching in the Primary age range
  • Experience working in a UK school or British/international curriculum
  • Strong understanding of assessment for learning
  • Experience leading or taking responsibility for a subject area
  • Confident working with Teaching Assistants
  • Experience communicating effectively with parents
  • A reflective, organised, and collaborative professional

Preferred

  • QTS (preferred)
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and/or EAL
  • Experience contributing to curriculum development or school improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with online assessment and tracking systems
  • Understanding of safeguarding within an international school context
  • Experience delivering or supporting CPD within a team
