The Opportunity:

As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you will coordinate Learning Support provision and ensure high-quality inclusive education for students with a range of learning needs. This role is central to promoting student wellbeing and academic success through tailored support and collaboration with teachers and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor Learning Support provision for students with additional learning needs.
• Prepare, implement, and review Individual Learning Plans, Student Support Plans, and Health Care Plans.
• Support teachers in developing inclusive classroom practices and provide training on inclusive strategies.
• Collaborate with families, external specialists, and school staff to ensure student progress and wellbeing.
• Lead review meetings and provide progress reports in line with school policy.
• Mentor Learning Support Assistants and maintain accurate Learning Support records.
• Support admissions processes and departmental procedures where required.
• Facilitate team meetings and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing individual support plans.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.

Preferred

• Experience with students with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.
• Familiarity with international curriculum frameworks.
• Experience in leading staff training and development initiatives.
• Knowledge of exam access arrangements and inclusive assessment practices.
