Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day teaching and learning in the Mathematics department
• Develop and implement a high-quality, innovative curriculum aligned with the school’s academic standards
• Support and mentor mathematics teachers to enhance pedagogical practices and student outcomes
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with school-wide strategic goals
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement
• Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of mathematics across all key stages
• Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through leadership and extracurricular involvement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience as a Head of Department or equivalent leadership role in a school setting
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff
• Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership
• Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic education

Preferred

• Experience in a British International School or similar educational environment
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE or A Level
• Experience with teacher training and professional development
• Strong understanding of assessment and examination systems
