The Opportunity:

As a Building Services Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the infrastructure and services across multiple sites. You will ensure statutory compliance, manage team development, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the maintenance of building services across all school properties.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors on multiple projects.
• Diagnose and resolve building defects efficiently and effectively.
• Support the Group Building Manager in driving team development and performance.
• Travel between sites as required to ensure all locations are maintained to the highest standards.
• Maintain a proactive and flexible approach to meet the school’s evolving needs.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-skilled team to deliver a high-quality service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in building services maintenance and defect diagnosis.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance.
• Experience in managing and developing teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to travel between sites as required.

Preferred

• Experience in estates management or a similar role within an educational setting.
• Familiarity with project management principles and budgeting processes.
• Experience with building management systems or software.
• Background in working within a school or educational institution.
