The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners in Early Years and Key Stage 1. You will work closely with teachers to create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to young learners.
- Assist with planning, preparing, and organizing classroom activities and resources.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Monitor and support students’ progress, identifying areas for improvement and communicating with teachers accordingly.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, equality, and diversity.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff to implement school-wide initiatives and policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Childcare Level 3 or above qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and patient approach to teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1 education.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and child development.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Familiarity with educational technology and resources.
