As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners in Early Years and Key Stage 1. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to young learners.
  • Assist with planning, preparing, and organizing classroom activities and resources.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and support students’ progress, identifying areas for improvement and communicating with teachers accordingly.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, equality, and diversity.
  • Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff to implement school-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Childcare Level 3 or above qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and patient approach to teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1 education.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and child development.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and resources.
