Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality woodwind music lessons to students of varying abilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and creative lesson plans that align with the school’s educational goals
  • Support students in achieving their musical potential through individual and group instruction
  • Collaborate with other music teachers and school staff to enhance the overall music program
  • Participate in school events, performances, and productions
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
  • Encourage a love of music and performance in students both inside and outside the classroom
  • Stay up to date with current teaching practices and music education trends

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified music teacher with a strong background in woodwind instruments
  • Proven experience in teaching children at a primary or secondary level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong musical ability and performance experience
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on music education
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to perform and conduct ensemble groups
  • Experience with music technology and digital teaching tools
