The Opportunity:

As a Sports Coach Placement, you will play a key role in inspiring and developing students through a wide range of sports, including Football and Swimming. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to contribute to a school that values both performance and participation in sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality practical PE lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Coach in multiple sports, with a focus on Football and Swimming, including lifeguarding where applicable.
  • Support students in the High Performance Programme and assist with sports award holders.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and contribute to the pastoral care of students in boarding houses.
  • Participate in the development of coaching qualifications and attend specialist training courses.
  • Engage with students in a variety of school activities, including those at affiliated prep schools.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in coaching or teaching in sports, particularly Football and Swimming.
  • A strong commitment to both performance and participation in sport.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and abilities.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to inspire and engage young people.
  • Willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities within a boarding environment.

Preferred

  • Lifeguarding qualification or relevant water safety training.
  • Experience in working within a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to coach a variety of sports and adapt to different teaching styles.
  • Experience with the High Performance Programme or similar initiatives.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
